An archive of activity and discussions occurring in the Green Sand Foundry by participants of Black Lab: a project for the collaborative production and exchange of artistic knowledge.
Are field trips of interest to anyone? This convention sounds great to me, on the basis that it is in Cornwall and Lucy Lippard is the keynote speaker. Black Lab minibus???
The Black Lab is a 3-month project initiated by artist collective Black Dogs that seeks to experiment with autonomous and self-organised methods for the exchange and collective production of artistic knowledge.
In this stage the project's direction will be self-determined and formed through discussion and activity of a group of invited participants; mostly artists, educators, academics and creatives active in Leeds or the north.
This blog is a communication tool and - by default - ongoing archive of the project.
The Black Lab is in the Green Sand foundry in the Round Foundry, Holbeck, Leeds (on the left of the beer garden of the Midnight Bell pub). Click here for a map.
